Cybersecurity Awareness Training

COVID-19 has become synonymous with working from home for many people and organizations moving towards hybrid workforces. Over the last year, we have all been forced to adapt to some technology trends with an increased reliance on video conferencing platforms and remote work. Simultaneously, cyber-attacks have grown exponentially, and research suggests that human error is involved in more than 95% of security breaches. Our Cybersecurity Awareness Training aims to provide the following benefits:
● A proactive approach to prevent breaches and attacks
● Protecting company assets and prevent downtime
● Fostering a security- minded culture
● Helping organizations comply with industry standards (SOC, HIPAA, SOX)
● Improved customer confidence

Reading Construction Drawings

In this course you will learn how to read and interpret 2D and 3D construction drawings of different kinds including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. You will examine plot plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules and specifications commonly found on a set of working drawings.

Construction Estimating 101

In this course, you will learn the fundamental skills and knowledge related to current estimating principles and practices. You will examine 2D and 3D construction drawings and specifications to identify and categorize the scope of work for construction projects by trade to prepare estimates for quotations and bids. You will also practice quantity take-offs for the structural elements of small structures in building construction.

Construction Project Management 101

In this course, you will learn the concepts of construction management including planning, coordination and execution of a construction project. You will acquire hands-on skills to prepare documentation for pre-construction, progress monitoring, changes in the work, progress payments, substantial performance, commissioning and handover utilizing standard industry documentation and practices. You will also plan, organize and monitor simulated construction projects by applying construction project management principles and virtual design and construction techniques. Additionally, you will be evaluating industry-accepted methods for resolving claims and disputes in construction projects.

Building Information Modeling (BIM) 101

In this course, you will be exploring the principles and benefits of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) process in design and construction project management. Concepts key to the implementation and management of BIM, which include standards, policies and procedures, organizational commitment, legal implications, interoperability of BIM platforms, methods of delivery and BIM execution are examined from a value of information perspective. You will also be introduced to techniques of BIM adoption and management to demonstrate how it should be used throughout the delivery and occupation phases of a project.

Construction Administration

This course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to administer a construction project from inception to project close-out. It focuses on the Canadian law of contract, rights and obligations of the project participants and analyzes the application of the conditions of the contract related to instructions, changes, progress payments, holdback, and completion certificates.

MEP 3D Modeling

In this course, you will practice 3D modeling of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems using Revit MEP by learning its fundamental tools and commands. You will learn how to create 3D MEP drawings, annotate construction documents, add tags and compile schedules. From these models, you will be preparing and editing drawings using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and practice optimization of MEP designs to communicate dimensions, material, details, schedules and measurements to access critical design information.
